BCH Camp

2026 Summer Camp is a Wrap!

It’s hard to believe, but BCH Summer Camp 2026 is officially in the books! And what a summer it was. Our theme this summer was “Come to the Table”. Chaplains from around Massachusetts and New Hampshire led us in conversation and reflection about what it means to be called to God’s table and to be called to build God’s table- where there is always room for one more- in this world. Counselors led cabin formation time where they built altars with memorable reminders of their week, read stories about Jesus at tables with his friends, his foes, and with all those strangers, outcasts, and questionable folks who he gathered time and time again, and we imagined in community about what it would mean to build the dream of God together in this moment.

The amazing summer staff team led the camp classics- boating, archery, basketball, arts & crafts, and swimming in the lake. They also invented a few new activities- BCH Shark Tank, the great Junior Counselor Hunt, Christmas in July, Whiffles & Cream, BCH Project Runway, and countless other small and large group activities. Every week ended with the BCH tradition of Rock Out Sesh, a combination talent show, karaoke, and dance party.

This summer, we launched three new programs- an Alumni Overnight that closed in a commissioning service for our summer staff team led by The Rt. Rev. Rob Hirschfeld, Bishop Diocesan in New Hampshire, a High School Camp for 9th-12th graders, and a Mini Camp for our youngest campers! We’ve received great feedback from each of those programs and our hope is to continue them next summer as well! This summer, too, we welcomed The Rt. Rev. Julia Whitworth for her first Bishop’s visitation to camp! All in, we welcomed about 300 campers this summer, making this our largest summer since rebuilding the summer camp program here at BCH in 2022!

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

The Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center is committed to engaging in equitable practices in all of our programming. Our work as a camping community is to acknowledge and resist systems that allow for oppression and disenfranchisement. Our goal is to honor the diverse backgrounds of our campers, staff, and other participants so that we may all find meaningful ways to participate, together, in community. People of all races, colors, religions, creeds, sexes, gender identities, national origins, abilities, and sexual orientations are welcome.

Compliance and Safety

BCH Camp is American Camp Association (ACA) accredited. ACA accreditation means we undergo a thorough (over 250 standards) review of our operation – from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. ACA collaborates with experts from The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross and other youth service agencies to ensure that our current practices reflect the most up-to-date research based standards in camp operation. Every camper’s safety and well-being is our chief concern.
