The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Walters
Secretary
The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Walters is a priest and Rector of All Saints’ Church in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church in 1994, Jennifer brings more than three decades of pastoral and institutional leadership to her ministry and work on the BCH board. Her parish experience spans congregations in Michigan, western Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire. Alongside her parish ministry, Dr. Walters has held senior leadership roles in higher education, including Dean of the Undergraduate College at Bryn Mawr College and Associate Dean of the College for Community Life at Smith College, where she also served as Dean of Religious Life. Earlier in her career, she was University Ombuds at the University of Michigan, providing dispute resolution and institutional support for a campus of 35,000 students. Across these roles, she has focused on equity and inclusion, student well-being, spiritual development, and community engagement. Jennifer holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Episcopal Divinity School and master degrees from Boston College and Michigan State University. Jennifer serves on the BCH Board of Directors because she believes deeply in its mission to be a place of spiritual refreshment through encounters with the natural word, the building of community among people of all backgrounds, and especially the nurture of young people in their awareness of God’s love for them.

The Rt. Rev. Julia E. Whitworth
Bishop Diocesan, Diocese of Massachusetts
Bishop Whitworth is the 17th bishop diocesan of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
She was ordained to the priesthood in September 2010 and served as the assistant rector of St. James’s Church in West Hartford, Conn., from 2010 to 2012, and then as the canon for liturgy and the arts at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City, from 2013 to 2016. She was the rector of Trinity Church in Indianapolis from 2016 until her election as bishop in May 2024. She was ordained and consecrated a bishop in October 2024 at Trinity Church in Boston.
While in the Diocese of Indianapolis, she was a General Convention deputy and a member of the Executive Council and the Committee for Canons and Constitution. She also served on the Board of Trustees of St. Richard’s Episcopal School; the Board of Directors of Trinity Haven, the first dedicated residence for LGBTQ+ youth in Indiana; and the LGBTQ+ youth advocacy organization Shelly’s Voice. She is a former member of the Governing Board of the National Association of Episcopal Schools.
Whitworth is married to artist-designer Ray Neufeld. They have three children, Liam, Gregory and Grace.

The Rev. Jon Eden
The Rev. Jonathan Eden is the rector of Emmanuel Church, West Roxbury. Previously Jon served as the Associate Rector of Christ Church, Cambridge MA for 12 years. He also served for two years as a Lily Fellow at St. James’ Church in New York City. He was ordained in the Diocese of Massachusetts in 2008 and received a MDiv from Andover Newton Theological School, an MBA from Boston College, and a BS from Bates College. Jon lives in Cambridge with his wife Lucy and son Braylen.
Jon loves camp! He grew up going to Covenant Point Bible Camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and worked as a camp counselor and camp director there through college. The camp setting and camp communities were incredibly formative in Jon’s faith life and his call to ministry. He ran for the Board of the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center at the first opportunity after he was ordained and eventually served as President of the Board for two years. He is currently on his second round of board membership, and is passionate about helping with program, and considering ways to make the camp and conference experience and community meaningful and accessible.
Jon is an Adapt Level 2 certified Parkour coach, loves kayaking, canoeing, surfing, and generally doing anything that will bring him outdoors.

Mrs. Ellen Farwell
Ellen is a law professor at Roger Williams University School of Law where she teaches contract, health and tax law. Before teaching, she was in-house legal counsel at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where she advised on non-profit and transactional issues. She has had the privilege of serving as senior warden of Grace Church in Newton and on the boards of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and the Women’s Bar Foundation. She lives in Newton, MA with my husband Wildon and their children David (15) and Emily (11), and two crazy dogs. Her identity as an Episcopalian is deeply rooted in my summers at church camp (including Bement and Monomonac) from ages 8-22. Two of her greatest joys are bringing my children to BCH each summer and coming on retreat there with her parish.

The Rev. Shannon Kelly
Bishop’s Appointee to BCH Board
The Rev. Shannon Kelly is a widely respected and innovative leader in the area of Faith Formation across The Episcopal Church. Her passion and vocation are focused on advocating for and ministering with children, youth, and young adults. She has served congregations, camps, and ministries in California, New York, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Massachusetts and has served on the Presiding Bishop’s staff. She currently is the Missioner for Children, Youth, and Campus Ministries in the Diocese of Massachusetts. She currently lives in Revere, MA where she finds joy in walking on the beach, knitting and crocheting, being at our Episcopal camps, going to Red Sox games, and spending time with her son when he is home from college.

The Rev. Deacon Jaclyn Mayo
Jaclyn is an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, serving at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Leominster, MA. During the day, she serves as the Director of Development at the United Way of North Central Massachusetts. As a Certified Fund Raising Executive, she has worked with nonprofits throughout Worcester County and Greater Boston for over 20 years and now deeply enjoys serving her own Fitchburg area communities through the United Way.
Jaclyn is proud to serve on the BCH Board, having spent time as a missionary camp staff and counselor at the only Christian Summer Camp in Germany, as well as leading college ministry conferences at camps across the United States. She is excited at the impact that BCH has not only on our youth each summer but also on our adult visitors, who continue to grow in their love of God.
Jackie has a Master’s in Theology from Bethel Seminary, BAs in both Math and German from Hartwick College, and is a graduate of the Province 1 School for Deacons. She lives with her wife Robyn and their two problematically cute cats in Lunenburg. If she has any free time, she enjoys playing video games, reading, and sewing custom clergy stoles through her Daring Deacon shop.

The Rev. Aaron Ross
Aaron was born and raised in Potomac, MD, and has a degree in Biblical Studies from Gordon College and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. After Aaron’s undergraduate studies, Aaron enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard as a signal soldier and then felt a call to military chaplaincy. He now serves as a reserve Army chaplain. Aaron was ordained to the priesthood in 2025 and currently serves as an assisting priest at St John the Evangelist in Duxbury, MA. Aaron is married to his spouse Elizabeth and has two small daughters. Aaron enjoys fitness and a good cup of coffee.
